There are several components to a blog that make it interesting and worth looking at. These can include: Images, video, audio/sound files, graphic organisers or mind maps and games.

The following components are important components of a blog

Video is an important component of a blog because it allows those who have the visual or musical learning styles to learn the topic, they may not learn as well without this component. Video is important to blog because it engages the viewer and is more engaging than say, a huge amount of text that has the same information. It also can be seen as authentic if it is like an interview.

Graphic organisers are an important component to a blog because they allow the viewer to again gain the same amount of knowledge that is contained in text. Graphic organisers or mind maps simplify information that link different ideas to each other and draw conclusions, they can also be used to summarise a great deal of information into a well organised diagram that is easy to follow.


Games are an important part of a blog because they provide a sense of fun to the viewer, while still being able to learn the concept or topic. Games bring about interaction and learning is considered better because there is an end goal that the viewer is aiming for, also, with practice the viewer is able to refine their skill at the game.
